Learn cooking techniques and strategies, including a do-ahead soufflé recipe for the first course, to give you the confidence to pull off a stress free dinner party for up to eight guests. A small class size allows for hands on learning and includes take-home packet with recipes and preparation timeline. After the instruction sit down and enjoy dinner you have prepared with fellow students. BYOB.

About Julia Hellums: Julia has been working in the food business for almost thirty years. She began her career as a pastry chef at a French restaurant in the West Village of Manhattan. She has worked as a food editor for Ladies Home Journal Magazine, a recipe developer and stylist for Martha Stewart and a cookbook editor for Dorling Kindersley Publishers in London, England. After moving to Houston, she worked as the project editor on both of Chef Hugo Ortega’s cookbooks published in 2011 and 2013. Julia believes cooking for friends should always be fun and never intimidating. Her approach to teaching is to give her students practical skills but also strategies to approach meal and party preparation with confidence.
