May 20- CSA Veggie Round-up! A/TX


Ever wonder what to do with all those vegetables in your CSA delivery? Looking for more ways to eat those picture perfect veggies at the Farmers Market? Then this is the class for you! Join Akshaya as she teaches you how to cook seasonal vegetables using Indian spices and herbs. 

You will be greeted with a cup of warm Chai to sip on as Akshaya takes you through the recipes step by step. You will learn about the healing potential of spices and get fun tidbits about Indian cooking in general. This is a demonstration style class. We will make:

  • Beetroot Stir Fry
  • Chickpea Curry with Greens
  • Spicy Carrot and Leek Soup. 

Note:  Veggie options might change based on seasonal availability

May 20-  7-9 PM

Born in India, Akshaya comes from a lineage of women who were known for their mouth-watering kitchen creations. Taking what she has learned from her mother, books, cooking shows and an Ayurvedic cooking training with Yoga Yoga and the Natural Epicurean, she brings authentic flavor, healthfulness and passion to the kitchen.

Akshaya is a committed Yoga teacher, a passionate home cook, and a loving mother to her two children.  She is also a lifelong student of Yoga, who is both teaching classes and working toward Advanced Teacher and Yoga Therapy certifications. Her cooking style draws on the traditions of her mother and grandmother, and is often enhanced by her study of Ayurveda.
