May 11 | High Tea Celebration of Women | A/TX

Celebrate the women in your life, or simply honor yourself, solo (because we really out to be doing more of that, my friends), with a special HIGH TEA Saturday, May 11 (Mothers’ Day Weekend) hosted by From Maggie’s Farm and Kitchen Underground. We will:

  • learn all about tea including service, selection, and tea etiquette,

  • build a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bubbles) Raspberry Mimosa at a serve yourself garnish bar

  • design handmade papercraft gift tags

  • roll up our sleeves to create savory charcuterie and tea sandwiches

  • learn to make by demonstration, scones and tarts to nibble together at the culmination of class.

By all means NOT a ladies only class, we encourage sons, husbands, dads, and male friends to honor the women in their lives, and join in the fun, too!

Saturday, May 11 | 4-6 PM | BYOB

Class will be held in a private kitchen in the 78745/South Central Austin area. Address will be provided 24 hours prior to class. No refunds are given, but you may transfer your spot with notice.

About Maggie Perkins: When food writer, former farmer, and market chef Maggie Perkins isn't preparing seasonal dishes on the fly at local farmers markets, you might find her at a backwoods barbecue joint in Mississippi, comparing chargrilled oysters in the Big Easy, or trading food folklore with a fishmonger on the coast. Her true north is in her home kitchen, puttering about, spinning vintage vinyl, perfecting her creole cooking techniques, and developing recipes she shares in print, and on her blog, Notes from Maggie's Farm.
