Feb. 18- Weekday Bowls A/TX

In this class, we will create delicious one-bowl meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner - they are nutritiously packed with grains, fruits, veggies, proteins, & lots of flavor! We will tackle some super-simple techniques—from baking homemade granola to grain cooking, roasting vegetables and hummus making. You’ll enjoy transferring these skills at home to invent your own flavorful combos. We will make a Breakfast Berry Bowl, a Mediterranean Chicken Quinoa lunch bowl, and Roasted Veggie Winter bowl.

Feb. 18 | 3-5pm

About Wesley Ellison: !  was raised mostly in Northern California, on butter. My formative years were spent enjoying my mother’s approach to cooking—butter, bulk, simple. Cooking principals that are, as far as I know, revered by all women in charge of feeding four large big-boned children. I also enjoyed a few childhood years spent in my father’s birthplace, Christchurch, New Zealand. This is where my loyalty to homespun, farm-to-table fresh ingredients comes from, I think. Also thanks to the Kiwis and my father: a passion for sugar, dairy and total reckless indulgence. In 32 years, I’ve also been lucky enough to live in Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Ann Arbor, Charlottesville, and now Austin, Texas! The passion stringing these temporary homes (and my life) together, the only substance that keeps me who I am wherever I am: food.
