With picnic season nestled firmly in the calendar along with summer harvests, toss aside the heaviest dishes with fresh, seasonal, hearty salads perfect for picnics, brown bags, and family dinner tables. 

Farmers’ market chef Maggie Perkins will show you how to pull of 5 salads you’ll turn to again and again when you need to pull together something healthy, tasty, and just a little different than your standard slaw or potato salad. Learn the bones of these salads and you’ll leave knowing how to substitute your favorite seasonal fruits and vegetables all year long, as well. 

The menu will include French Bean & Potato Salad, Tarragon Chicken Salad, Fresh Sweet Corn Salad with Chimichurri, Thai-inspired Peanut Slaw with lemongrass coconut dressing, and Sweet Melon withProsciutto salad.  We’ll EAT them all, and you’ll leave with a Mason Jar salad of your own, as well.
