65.00

Ever have dreams of scooping up every vegetable at the farmers market to make fresh, delicious and seasonal meals…followed by a nightmare of making a smash of everything you cut into?

Join market chef Maggie Perkins and let’s get to work making several salsas. We will sharpen our knife skills and learn to make some fabulous salsas to brighten up fish, chicken or beef, or to be used solo as a dip. You may bring your own knife or Maggie will provide one for you to practice with. Caring for and sharpening skills will be taught as well.

About Maggie Perkins: When food writer, former farmer, and market chef Maggie Perkins isn't preparing seasonal dishes on the fly at local farmers markets, you might find her at a backwoods barbecue joint in Mississippi, comparing chargrilled oysters in the Big Easy, or trading food folklore with a fishmonger on the coast. Her true north is in her home kitchen, puttering about, spinning vintage vinyl, perfecting her creole cooking techniques, and developing recipes she shares in print, and on her blog, Notes from Maggie's Farm.
